Our
Manufacturing
Green Lotus Eco Panels transforms locally sourced recycled plastic into valuable materials using proven manufacturing methods. Our products are produced in our workshop on the outskirts of Phnom Penh.

Unlike some competing recycled materials that can contain low recycled raw material content, our approach enables us to use 100% recycled plastic. Depending on the raw material used in the panel, we source the raw material directly from the community or through local plastic recycling organizations. In both cases the origin of the raw material is either collected from the landfills or the streets. This support the local communities living on waste picking and reduces the environmental impact of waste
Machinery
Our base machinery consists of a shredder, a hot press and a cold press, all acquired from established manufacturers. The machinery and the corresponding manufacturing process are suitable for our base product (the recycled plastic panel), ensuring high quality and consistency. The presses can produce panel dimensions up to 1.45m x 1.45 m.
Production Process
Processing plastic waste requires not only the appropriate machinery but also established production methods. After acquiring the machinery, the team in our workshop spent 12 months optimizing the manufacturing process, testing various temperatures and methods to ensure appropriate quality and consistency of the product.
Main Production Steps
-
Plastic is washed, shredded, rewashed and dried.
-
This step is only valid for HDPE as in the case of LDPE we used premade plastic pellets that do not require shredding or washing.
-
-
The shredded plastic or plastic pellets are weighted and distributed evenly in a frame before being melted in the hot press with the correct temperature used based on raw material.
-
Once the plastic is consistently melted throughout the panel, the panel and frame is transferred over to the cold press where the panel is cooled down under high pressure.
-
Cooling the panel under high pressure prohibits the panel from de-forming or bending during the colling process.
-
-
One the panel has cooled down it is ready to be cut into required dimensions and shapes.

During the production process we ensure minimal waste of raw material as any excess material can be recycled back into the manufacturing process.
Variety
Our process allows us to produce high-quality panels using material from diverse waste streams, allowing us to provide a variety of color combinations in a flexible way.
